The RPM Data Warehouse
The RPM Data Warehouse (DW) gives Technology Service Distributors and Agencies direct, read-only access to their RPM commission data using Amazon Redshift, a high-performance data warehouse built on PostgreSQL v8.0.2.
Designed for speed, scale, and security, the RPM Data Warehouse extends RPM’s reporting and integration capabilities—empowering organizations to run advanced analytics, automate reconciliations, and integrate commission data with external business systems.
Technology Overview
Amazon Redshift was chosen for its ability to manage large data volumes at high speed, deliver fast SQL query performance, and maintain enterprise-grade encryption at rest and in transit. It integrates natively with RPM’s AWS infrastructure and supports direct API connectivity.
How It's Used
Integration
Easily integrate your RPM commission data with other systems, such as:
- Salesforce — aggregate net billed or gross commission per agency.
- Data pipelines or APIs — automate movement of commission data into custom workflows.
Reporting
Connect your BI tools directly to the DW, such as:
- Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik — create dashboards and visualizations for key insights like:
- All-time net billed by supplier
- Gross commission by agency
- Net billed by product or region
The Data Warehouse is a central layer in your agency’s tech stack—ideal for transferring or accessing large volumes of data that other systems require for enhanced reporting.
Use Cases
The DW is for you if your organization wants:
- Integrate RPM commission data with other systems or CRMs
- Access data from all RPM commission runs at once
- Reconcile bookings and payments
- Aggregate commission items, adjustments, and referrals in a single dataset
- Build custom reports for agents, partners, or leadership teams
Who It's For
The DW is best suited for organizations with access to technical resources familiar with:
- SQL databases and query writing
- Data source connections and integrations
- BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
- API-based data pipelines or CRM integrations
